Hello world!
Welcome to today's edition of interesting things I found on the Internet. I have now migrated to be hosted on Substack from Mailchimp, so this is also a (testing, testing, 1, 2).
If this is the first time you're reading my newsletter, it is a pleasure to have you with me. My goal with this e-mail blast is simple: share good, meaningful content - the electronic media I find that excites me each day. As a result of the varied browsing I do, there's no fixed pattern and every day is a new surprise. Should that resonate with something you may enjoy, please consider subscribing here. Thank you for reading!
Shameless Plug: Inklings
I make an attempted return to writing, and spill some words on the thoughts in my head. I will be returning to maintaining a notebook. My pens have fresh ink. Reader, beware.
Stumbling Can Be Lovely
I have a deep love for those who are willing to learn. This is why I have enjoyed Alan Rusbridger’s Play it Again multiple times over. I found reading someone find out for themselves how beautiful it is to fall, and how comforting it is to fall alone inspiring. I am currently learning to play Invention in F Major by Bach on the piano. I go through the first 10 bars every day, missing the B flat in bar 3 without fail. This helps.
The Four Quadrants of Conformism
A classic essay that came up on The Seen and The Unseen podcast this past week.
A Proper Cup of Tea
This game came through to me on The Guardian’s weekly round-up of gaming related news. My day is brighter because I gave it a go. I think you should too!
This newsletter takes some time to make each day - so if you enjoyed it, please forward it along.
I'll be sure to send you more content to consume tomorrow. Till then, take care of yourselves.
Love,
